Dear friends, clients and supporters of Wild Sound! Six months have passed since my last update. Lots of great activity and exciting new developments since then! The most exciting and important changes include the addition of three new Engineers each with their own complimentary and unique skills and specialties.

In April we welcomed Steve Kaul as Producer and Engineer in Charge for Wild Sound's day to day operations. Since April Steve has worked on an incredibly diverse portfolio of projects and has built upon and improved the techniques and traditions that Wild Sound have been known for! His sophisticated ear and perfectionist instincts have helped our clients in disparate genres find their sound and capture their dreams.
The amazing Bryan Menghy and Matt Holmes joined Wild Sound as Staff Engineers and Producers in May. Matt, Bryan and Steve are dazzlingly talented Pro Tools Engineers who bring their own experiences and musical sensibilities to Wild Sound - enlarging our capabilities, expanding our abilities and kicking our butts!!! I can't imagine the studio without these guys. A year ago I had no idea people with their ridiculous skills and talent existed!!! I feel like the luckiest person in the world to be surrounded by people I admire and like! My goal has always been to associate with people that are smarter and more talented than me - my thanks to Benny, Steve, Bryan and Matt for continuing to make this possible!!!
Benny Weinbeck continues to move the studio into the future by embracing the latest trends and technologies. In addition to Producing, Arranging and Performing on multiple sessions, Benny has updated and improved all our systems and is helping Wild Sound become even more agile and adept. Wild Sound is constantly implementing the suggestions, ideas and insights of our clients and staff. To that end we have added Logic to our DAW capabilities. We now deliver mastered work in DDP file sets. We had Master Piano Technician Jerry Ouska rebuild the Steinway (OK it is 4 years old now!) to make it the Best "B" it could be! Some say it's the best "B" anywhere. We now offer sophisticated Data Asset Management services including "Dropbox" that help our clients distribute their work-in-progress and interface with outside studios and artists anywhere in the world. We continue to find and purchase the best equipment to continue to do your work at the highest level. Future plans include increased video services; We have added green screen capabilities and are updating our video shooting, editing and authoring skill-sets to simplify adding video to your productions.
Plans are underway to create a 5.1 Mixing room with world class capabilities for Film, TV and Broadcast Production - including Voice Over Recording, Sound Design and Mix to Picture. The location for this new room is under consideration - it will be an offsite addition to our growing services! More to come as our plans develop!
Autumn brings two fantastic holidays - Halloween and Thanksgiving. Those of us in the music business have had lots of scares in the last few years and we know there will be more. Nonetheless it is Thanksgiving that is our true focus. Wild Sound gives thanks for the incredible scene that the Twin Cities offers. We enjoy one of the most talented and diverse group of artists and musicians in the world. We thank you, our clients, for believing and trusting Wild Sound to give you and your work the love, care and respect it deserves. We are dedicated to your success. We welcome your collaboration. We need and value your ideas and participation in the creation of art and music. Above all we just want to say - "Thank you."
Happy holidays everyone - Wild Sound will continue to offer lots of new tricks and treats along with extra helpings of thanks and gratitude. When you are ready, we'll be here to help.
